In order to dedicate your limited time and effort into improving your fitness, it’s essential that you feel comfortable in your gym surroundings and confident that the CrossFit coaching staff to look after your needs.

When you walk in do you feel welcomed? Check out the facilities and ‘feel’ of the place to make sure that it feels comfortable for you? Ask the staff questions – do they explain things in a way you understand? Do they address any concerns you might have? Does it feel personal and like a family?
Many CrossFit gyms offer trial programs.
A taster session is the best way for you to experience what’s on offer and find out if it’s right for you. Ask the other participants what CrossFit has done for them and why they chose that particular gym.
Check whether the CrossFit gym is open at times suitable for you. Some people like to exercise in the morning, other people prefer the evening.
Is the CrossFit Gym open 7 days a week? You’ll probably need that flexibility to ensure you can do a minimum of 3 sessions a week.

Have a look at the facilities available to you e.g. Showers and change rooms, food and drink options. It’s also a good idea to ask about any support services they may offer such as myotherapist, loyalty programs etc.
Each CrossFit gym’s website will usually post their workout of the day on a blog. Check this out to make sure they are offering a varied program, working different muscle groups from session-to-session.
